Alison's practice consists primarily of advising employers on employee benefits and executive compensation matters.  She advises employers on compliance obligations under an increasingly complex set of rules imposed on retirement plans and welfare plans such as health, life and disability insurance plans.  Alison is a leader in the firm in providing advice regarding compliance with HIPAA privacy rules for health plans and regarding compliance with tax code Section 409A's potential penalties on deferred and executive compensnation plans.  She regularly advises employers regarding incentive compensation, including equity-based compensation and executive benefit plans.  Alison strives to provide practical advice and innovative solutions to her client's issues and obligations.
